Last weekend, a bunch of us decided to head to Wendover-- just to get out of town for a bit. The gals thought it might be fun to hit some gaming tables, and the guys were definitely all about the sports book. Besides, the kitsch factor of Wendover is worth the price of admission.
Me? I just like watching everyone play and taking all of their free drinks. Sometimes I like Hold 'em, but I just wasn't about getting on a massive waiting list to lose all of the money I didn't have.
Johnny and I decided to hit up the bar, and as we walked past the line of video slot machines, we laughed at all of the titles and thought, "Who are the guys who sit around and think up all of these?" Then we saw it, the mother of all machines-- Super Sally's Shrimp Mania. Super Sally is a shrimper, who gives you buckets of shrimp when you hit the bonus round. Super Sally is in your favor. Super Sally can do you no wrong.
Who needs to sit at a blackjack table where the odds are against you when Super Sally's Shrimp Mania smiles at you from afar? Johnny said, "We are playing that" and with the blink of an eye had stuck a single dollar into the beautiful machine. You see, Super Sally's Shrimp Mania is a penny slot, and you can get hours of fun with just a buck.
Oh the joy that Super Sally's Shrimp Mania brought us. Not only did we laugh every time we got to try for the Sea Monkey Bonus Round, but it also made us look very busy with playing and we got many free drinks. And then the unthinkable happened, we hit the bonus shrimp round and mega-scored. Before we knew it, we had turned one dollar into ten, and then we decided to cash out before we lost it all.
So, we won ten bucks. We won ten bucks at a game called Super Sally's Shrimp Mania. Everybody else on the trip either broke even or lost. We ended up blowing our winnings on a round of cheap drinks for everyone, so in the end, everybody ended up winning with Super Sally.
You ski. I ski. Hold on while I make this awkward.
